For Kaela (KL), this is a humble opportunity that she does not take for granted. She deeply loves camp and operates in the mindset, “I get to do this”. She has spent every summer at Camp Allegheny since she as 18 years old – after committing to only one summer to get the experience. Camping ministry has not only been the environment where she recommitted her life to God, but has also been a transformative, life-changing experience for her. God had other plans for her in the summer of 2009 – that are still unfolding today.

She has become deeply passionate about camping ministry and wants every child and staff member to have the same experience – even if it’s only a one-time opportunity. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Outdoor and Adventure Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership through Wheaton College that she hopes to steward in such a way that not only develops the next generation of leaders but has an eternal impact on the future of camping ministry.
